Floor Manager, V&A East Museum

This is an opportunity for an ambitious operations professional to help make VandA East’s vision a reality. VandA East Museum, opening Spring 2026 in Stratford, celebrates making and creativity’s power to bring change. Created with young people and rooted in east London’s heritage, VandA East Museum explores what’s shaping our world with the voices leading contemporary culture.

We have reimagined our Floor Manager role, which is a hybrid role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day front-of-house, commercial and security operations at VandA East Museum; ensuring that visitors and diverse audiences feel welcome, engaged and safe, in line with the VandA’s core values. This is a new kind of duty management role at the VandA, and there will be excellent opportunities for training and development to ensure we provide you with a career-enhancing skillset.

This role will lead a team of front-of-house assistants working across gallery, retail, welcome and exhibition spaces and will be a key liaison with teams working across VandA East and our commercial partners. We are looking for people who enjoy and have experience of motivating and developing high-performing operational teams, and are excited by the opportunity to take a key role in bringing a new and world-class cultural space to life.

This role will also play a key role in defining how VandA East establishes and builds its identity as a leading cultural hub.
