The OpportunityAre you a resilient and trauma-informed individual looking to support vulnerable learners in Blackpool? We are seeking an SEMH Support Mentor to join our specialist team this May. This is a Temp-to-Perm position, meaning you will start on a temporary basis to ensure the school and the student are the right fit for you, with a direct pathway to a permanent contract and long-term career stability. You will be working in an environment where "behaviour is communication," supporting students who face challenges with emotional regulation and mental health.Key Responsibilities1:1 and Small Group Support: Provide bespoke emotional and academic support to students with identified SEMH needs.Trauma-Informed Practice: Use nurturing and de-escalation strategies to help pupils regulate their emotions and manage their behaviour safely. Barrier Removal: Identify and address barriers to learning, helping students re-engage with their education and build self-esteem.
