Classroom Based SEMH Support
SEMH Teaching Assistant - Blackpool Location: Blackpool Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Pay: £109 per day Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience in care, support work, or working with vulnerable individuals, and are now looking to make a meaningful impact within education? We are currently recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support schools across the Blackpool area. This is a rewarding, full-time, term-time-only position, working with pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support to engage successfully in their learning. The Role Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, including those with behavioural and emotional challenges Deliver one-to-one and small group support both inside and outside the classroom Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and positive engagement with learning Contribute to creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs About You Experience in care, youth work, support work, or a related field is highly desirable Experience supporting individuals with SEMH or additional needs is advantageous Calm, patient, and resilient, with the ability to remain composed under pressure Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Confident in managing and de-escalating challenging ..... full job details .....
