Axon Moore are seeking a Financial Controller to join a PE backed SME based in Trafford on a full time permanent basis. This PE backed business are looking to sell in the next 2-3 years, therefore providing you with excellent career progress to really accelerate your career.-

As FC you will be expected to develop strong relationships with both central support functions and operational teams while ensuring robust controls and processes to be able to provide accurate and timely information to the Group, and its stakeholders to support decision making.

Key responsibilities include:-

• Manage and develop the Finance team alongside robust controls and processes.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts along with supporting schedules, ensuring accurate revenue and cost recognition
• Business partner with Operations teams to improve financial understanding
• Provide support with budgeting and forecasting process where required.
• Production and distribution of accurate and meaningful KPI reports with supporting commentary where required.
• Providing weekly & monthly financial reports as well as ad hoc reports to operations teams and other departments
• Ensure the successful and efficient statutory accounts preparation and audit process with support from external accountants
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers and capital expenditure analysis.
• Full balance sheet responsibility including preparation monthly balance sheet reconciliations including actioning differences and identification of risks
• Preparation of weekly and monthly information for inclusion in cash flow forecasts
• Maintenance of key accounting software
• Support the integration of acquisitions to existing group systems and processes

Ideal candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Proven experience in managing and developing a team-
• Experience working in a PE or fast paced business
