Both pupils are currently suspected of having ADHD and require additional support with focus, attention, engagement and following adult direction. One of the pupils also has a tendency to abscond from the classroom or learning environment, meaning the successful candidate will need to be vigilant, proactive and confident in maintaining the child''s safety while encouraging positive engagement. The school is looking for someone who can build strong, trusting relationships with both pupils and understand that their behaviour may be a form of communication. The boys can be unresponsive to direction, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate patience, consistency and a nurturing approach, while also maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries. The role will involve supporting both pupils to remain focused during lessons, encouraging them to participate in learning and helping them develop strategies to manage their attention and behaviour.
