Early Years Teaching Assistant – The role

• Early Years Teaching Assistant
• Enfield, North London
• Primary school
• Long-term, full-time role
• ASAP start
• 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Pay: £99-£115 per day
• Level 3 EYFS qualification required
• Previous EYFS experience essential
• Paediatric First Aid qualification preferable

Early Years Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children’s learning through engaging, play-based activities.
• Assist with delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Support children’s communication, language and social development.
• Encourage confidence, independence and curiosity.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with children and staff.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities.
• Monitor children’s progress and support their individual needs.

Early Years Teaching Assistant - About You

The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous EYFS experience — essential.
• A Level 3 EYFS qualification — essential.
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Good understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to play-based learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young children.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification — desirable.
• A genuine passion for helping children learn, grow and develop
