Welder Fabricator

An established metal fabrication and manufacturing company in County Durham is recruiting an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their production team. This Welder / Fabricator role covers welding, fitting, setting and assembling fabricated structures to design specifications, working closely with the Team Leader to hit agreed production targets. It is a varied Welder / Fabricator position within a well equipped, established workshop. What you''ll be doing Welding, fitting and assembling metal structures to design specifications Evaluating engineering drawings and working to required standards Meeting individual and team targets in line with agreed dates Completing safety checks and documentation to standard Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks using a range of equipment Transferring material around the factory as required Contributing to new working methods and process improvements Following 5S and wider health and safety standards What we''re looking for Minimum Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering, coded certification is an advantage Over three years in a relevant industry, competent in Mig, Tig and heat welding Good attention to detail and a solid grasp of maths and engineering drawings Experience of Lean working practices A flexible, team focused approach Please note that full training is not provided for this Welder / Fabricator role, so applicants should be confident welding to a professional standard from the outset.
