Job Title: Trainer Coach - Electrical

Location: Essex

Salary: -39,319 - -45,052 per annum (incl. London Weighting)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (36 Hours per Week)

Role Overview

A prominent Further & Higher Education college in East London is seeking an Electrical Trainer Coache to join their expanding Apprenticeships department. This position plays a key role in supporting, coaching, and assessing Level 3 Electrical Installation apprentices across their workplace and campus environments.

You will act as a dedicated mentor and assessor, visiting apprentices on site, conducting progress reviews, leading portfolio development workshops, and preparing learners for successful End Point Assessment (EPA).

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Level 3 Electrical Installation apprentices in workplace settings and conduct regular progress reviews.

• Lead portfolio workshops and deliver coaching aligned with current apprenticeship standards.

• Complete and maintain detailed assessment documentation, tracking records, and onboarding reports.

• Support curriculum design and workplace learning strategies for electrical provision.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with employers to ensure positive learner outcomes.

Requirements

• Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Assessor Qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33), Level 2 Maths & English, and a valid UK Driving Licence.

• Desirable: Teaching qualification (AET, CertEd, PGCE) and prior experience working within an FE college or independent training provider.
