Job: Technical Support Officer in Engineering Location: Greater Manchester Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent Salary: £25,493 per annum Eden Brown are looking for an Engineering Technician to join a Further Education College in Greater Manchester on a fulltime or parttime, permanent basis. Role Overview: As an Engineering Technician, you will work closely with lecturers and students to set up, maintain, and support practical engineering sessions across a range of engineering disciplines. You will ensure equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use while providing technical expertise and guidance where required. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain engineering workshop Support practical sessions, demonstrating the safe use of tools and machinery. Assist staff and students with technical problems and project setups. Maintain high standards of health and safety across all practical areas. Monitor and manage the inventory of equipment, tools, and materials. Essential Skills and Experience: Relevant technical qualification in engineering or a related discipline. Hands-on experience working in an engineering workshop environment. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively. Previous experience in an educational or training setting is desirable. A DBS check will be required for this role.
