Teaching Assistant

Do you enjoy supporting children one-to-one and helping them reach their full potential?Horizon Teachers are currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Brentwood who are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child with SEND on a 1:1 basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to make a real difference to a child''s learning, development and confidence. The position is full-time, starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2027.This school also has parking on site available to use.Your responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:Providing dedicated one-to-one support for a child with SEND.Supporting the pupil to access learning activities and the wider curriculum.Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social interactions.Providing a calm, nurturing and supportive learning environment.Adapting activities and resources to meet the child''s individual needs.Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation where required.What are the school looking for in a Teaching Assistant?Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to remain calm, flexible and resilient in challenging situations.A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.A proactive, ..... full job details .....
