Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Berwick-upon-Tweed
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £90 - £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Berwick to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant. The school offers a supportive team environment, with staff working together to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support to pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 or Key Stage 4 / KS4 with a focus on SEMH, helping them engage positively with their education and access learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND / SEMH
• Experience providing 1:1 support
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills
• A positive and supportive attitude
