Job Title: Support Team Leader - Supported Living
Location: Lincoln
Salary: -30,000 - -35,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week (off rota), with occasional rota cover and sleep-ins in emergencies

Job Summary

I am seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Team Leader to oversee a supported living service in Lincoln. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about person-centred care and has proven leadership experience within adult social care. You will lead a well-established team supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.

About the Service

The service consists of supported living flats for 10 individuals with varying levels of need - from full support including sleep-ins to minimal, independence-focused support. You will manage a team of 16 staff members and work alongside an assistant manager. The team is experienced, collaborative, and thrives under strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly support sessions and team meetings
  • Manage recruitment, interviewing, and on-boarding
  • Oversee staff rotas, annual leave, and training plans
  • Conduct monthly audits (medical, financial, environmental)
  • Coach and role model best practice in support delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Promote active, meaningful lives for the people we support
  • Maintain relationships with families and external professionals
  • Report safeguarding concerns and incidents appropriately
  • Work collaboratively with the East Midlands District team
  • Attend training as required (may include overnight stays)

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, working towards or willing to secure this.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within adult social care
  • Strong understanding of person-centred support and compliance
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff
  • Car owner/driver preferred due to travel requirements across the service and for training purposes.
  • Willingness to cover rota and sleep-ins in emergencies
