Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation in the automotive and advanced technology sector, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its Quality department on a contract basis. This role will support supplier quality activities across a range of commodities, helping to develop a reliable supply chain that delivers conforming products on time and to the required standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead supplier quality activities, including supplier assessments, audits and site visitsSupport suppliers in meeting quality, technical and production requirementsManage non-conforming products, concessions, containments and corrective actionsLead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using methods such as 8D, 5-Why and IshikawaDevelop supplier performance monitoring systems and support continual improvement across the supply chainAct as the day-to-day point of contact for supply chain quality concerns within assigned programmesBuild effective supplier relationships on technical matters, development parts and production processesSupport engineering change requests, Design for Excellence activities, component releases and risk-based supplier developmentJob Requirements:Experience in supplier quality engineering or a related quality engineering role within the automotive or manufacturing sectorStrong knowledge of quality engineering, supplier audits, non-conformance reports and concessionsExperience of reviewing PPAP documentation and leading APQP activitiesUnderstanding of ..... full job details .....
