Job Title: Stores Operative

Location: Haverhill, Suffolk

Salary: 27k - 28k

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch break

Contract Type: Full time, temp to perm

Our client based in Haverhill, Suffolk is seeking a Stores Operative to join their team on a full-time basis.

As a Stores Operative, your duties will include:

•  Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring all goods are processed accurately.
•  Record and maintain stock information within the MRP system, ensuring inventory records remain up to date.
• Allocate, store and distribute materials to the appropriate departments in line with company procedures.
• Pick and issue components, consumables and production orders to support manufacturing operations.
• Prepare, pack and dispatch customer orders securely, producing all relevant shipping documentation.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the stores area, ensuring a safe and organised working environment.

An ideal candidate for the Stores Operative role will have:

• Previous experience within a stores, goods-in or dispatch environment.
• Stock control knowledge and experience.
• Previous stock take experience.
• Experience working to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• The ability to lift and handle heavy items and work with pallet handling equipment.
