Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support for a Year 2 student with ASD and ADHD in a busy Romford School. For the role we are looking for somebody to build a positive relationship with the student to support their learnning and access the curriculum effectively. Are you a proactive, quick-thinking Teaching Assistant that can engage with the student through creative and adaptable strategies? To start as soon as possible - Monday - Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm with a break. Teaching Assistant Role and Qualification: Provide dedicated 1-1 support for a Year 2 student with ASD and ADHD. Use "Now and Next" strategies to support understanding and transitions. Adapt activities to maintain engagement and meet the students individual needs. Promote positive behaviour and assist with emotional regulation. Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction. Experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, care or SEND qualification.
