General Foreman - WaterLocation: Winchester area Rate: £400 per day, Inside IR35, depending on experience Duration: 12 months+ / ongoing Sector: WaterThe Role A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is looking for an experienced General Foreman to join its construction team on a key water project near Winchester. This is a long-term opportunity supporting the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering and construction activities on site.Due to the nature of the project, candidates must have previous experience working as a General Foreman or Site Supervisor within the UK water sector. Experience with either a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor will be considered, provided you have worked on projects associated with UK Water Authorities.Key Responsibilities General management of construction and civil engineering activitiesDaily allocation of plant, labour and materialsCoordination of site activities and subcontractorsManaging the site workforce to ensure safe working practicesEnsuring works are delivered with minimal environmental impactEnsuring deliveries are stored safely to protect staff, the public and site equipmentEnsuring appropriate PPE is available and correctly usedAssisting with the production and review of method statementsSupporting site health, safety, quality and compliance requirements Requirements Previous experience as a General Foreman or Site SupervisorStrong civil engineering / construction backgroundPrevious experience working on UK water ..... full job details .....
