We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to focus primarily on our clients operations out of Nigeria as well as Ecuador, Peru and Madagascar. Our Client is a leading Commodity Trading business headquartered in London with offices situated all over the world.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Shipping Manager to provide logistic support to the trading teamLiaising with our overseas operations, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders and colleagues in the Netherlands.Monitoring shipments, agreements and all related documentation.Checking and processing invoices for payment and liaising with the Accounts team.Timely and accurate entering of data to our in-house systemStock management – reconciliation of stock confirmation with our in-house systemAssisting with Insurance Claims, submitting monthly insurance declarations and reporting.Providing management reports using Excel – working knowledge of Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS and IF functions desirable.SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years proven experience in shipping/logistics within a similar environment.Commodities related experience preferred.Highly organised with the ability to track and manage a variety of shipments within a fast-paced environment.Prior experience of insurance preferred.Excellent communications skills.Seniority level
