Senior Supervisor

Job Description - Senior Supervisor We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Supervisor to join a busy food production operation in Gravesend. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day production, ensuring that teams, machinery and processes operate safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience within food production, fresh produce, fresh-cut fruit, packaging or a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate production teams throughout the shift, ensuring staff are organised, productive and working to company procedures and production targets. Oversee production activities, machinery, product quality and output, ensuring schedules, specifications and customer requirements are met. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP and health and safety, ensuring all procedures are followed consistently. Monitor staffing, performance, attendance, production issues and downtime, taking appropriate action and escalating issues to management when required. Support Team Leaders and Machine Operators, provide guidance and training, and promote a positive working environment focused on safety, quality, efficiency and teamwork. Work closely with Production, Engineering and Management teams to resolve operational issues, minimise waste and downtime, and continuously improve production performance.
