Band 7Cardiology Governance LeadAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the cardiology service. We are looking for someone with extensive leadership experience in the cardiology field and a strong interest in improving patient safety. Experience with governance and the NHS framework is essential. If you possess these skills, this is the post for you.The role offers a great opportunity to contribute to safer care delivery and involve in quality improvement projects. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to establish robust systems for maintaining safe practice and patient experience.Previous candidates need not apply.The post holder will work as a senior member of the CCU team to lead and deliver a range of quality governance activities at the unit level and within professional groups, ensuring compliance with the site’s governance and risk framework. This includes handling complaints, gathering patient feedback, ensuring patient safety, incident management, and meeting external regulatory standards such as those by the Care Quality Commission.As Governance Lead, the post holder will play a key role in implementing the site’s Safe and Compassionate Quality Improvement plan and fostering a proactive, open learning culture aligned with Bart’s Health ambition to be a leader in safety and healthcare excellence.Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country and a leading healthcare provider.
