Senior Quantity Surveyor

A multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy in London is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and leisure projects.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage their own commissions from early cost planning through to final account. Working directly with clients, consultants and contractors, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide clear commercial advice throughout project delivery.

This role would suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater project ownership within a collaborative consultancy. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also support junior team members and help develop long-term client relationships.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

• Leading feasibility studies, cost plans and project budgets

• Preparing tender documentation and managing procurement exercises

• Reviewing tender returns and producing commercial recommendations

• Managing interim valuations, variations and final accounts

• Monitoring project costs and reporting financial performance to clients

• Providing contractual and procurement advice throughout project delivery

• Leading client and consultant meetings

• Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

• Strong UK consultancy or PQS experience

• MRICS qualified or actively progressing towards chartership

• Proven experience managing projects independently

• Good knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes

• Strong commercial, numerical and reporting skills

• Confident dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders

• Experience across residential, commercial, education, healthcare or leisure projects would be beneficial

In Return:
