Senior Quantity Surveyor

OverviewSenior Recruitment Consultant - Helping businesses source the best Quantity Surveyors for their teams. A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading main contractor in the defence sector as their Senior Quantity Surveyor. The role involves delivering a number of new projects across the defence base at Larkhill with hybrid working (3 days on site, 2 days at home per week).

Responsibilities

Visit sites and carry out surveys to assist the Pre-construction Team in pricing schedules, specifications, and scopes of works.

Liaise with the Procurement Team through the tender process and assist in the analysis of tender submissions and preparation of Joint Recommendations.

Produce cost plans, estimates and formal Client submissions for projects.

Provide information to Central Commercial and Finance Teams.

Provide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Team.

Visit sites and assess progress to validate supply chain invoices and payment requests.

Review supply chain quotations and variations to ensure value for money.

Administer project instructions and manage contingency and risk budgets.

Administer supply chain orders and payments in a timely manner.

Ensure projects are commercially managed in line with company policies and procedures.

Mentor and develop junior members of the Commercial Team.

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying or membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).

Full UK driving licence.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn other bespoke systems.
