Amentum .The Commercial function within the Enterprise Asset Solutions division provides a full range of pre and post contract commercial services to the Commercial and Procurement teams and other non-Commercial personnel. The candidate will develop a close working relationship with project teams, finance, sales, and both Clients’ and Subcontractors’ representatives. A detailed knowledge of construction contracts and good contract management principles is essential. A variety of construction methods and project experience is preferred but not essential.The role will require taking the commercial lead on the Hinkley Point C (Bridgwater, Somerset) project while providing business unit support on other projects and helping develop less experienced Surveyors. Role functions include client/main contract activities, procurement schedules, and management of subcontractors from project start to delivery. Travel to the HPC project and other locations will be required as needed.Key Responsibilities
Work with the Commercial Manager to ensure consistency and best practice across the business unit for continuous improvement.Take commercial lead on projects, developing relationships with client teams to deliver contract requirements.Execute NEC3/4 contracts, including preparation of applications for payment, pricing tracking, change implementation, early warnings, and providing contractual support to the project management team.Support Project Controls and Cost Engineers to submit cost reports for review and enable cost forecasts, revenue, and gross margin submissions.Ensure Sub-Contract arrangements are in place as required using NEC contracts, with proper administration for change controls, early warnings, compensation events, scope changes, and payments.Maintain accurate cost control, registers of variations, delays, EOTs, early warnings, and claims.Qualifications
Suitably qualified and experienced in Quantity Surveying or similar Commercial roles.Excellent working knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC forms.Security Cleared or ability to obtain the required clearance.Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to communicate confidently and work well under pressure.Hands-on with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic; able to work within a team and autonomously.Flexible with working hours and good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.Any offer of employment is subject to security requirements. You will need BPSS clearance and either SC or DV clearance.
