OverviewSenior HR Advisor role at Clyde and Co. Location: London or Glasgow. Department: Human Resources. The HR team in the UK consists of over 100 people with specialist teams in Resourcing, Graduate Recruitment and Management, Learning and Development, Systems and MI, and Reward. The HR Operations team are based across the UK and work as one team to deliver a business partnering service to our fee earning and business services teams.
Responsibilities
Projects : Partner with the HR Business Partner and Global HR team to deliver a range of strategic and change-management projects, either by leading discrete workstreams or managing smaller projects end-to-end.
Projects : Scope, plan, and execute HR Operations-related initiatives, creating detailed project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring timely stakeholder engagement and delivery.
Projects : Support the implementation of the HR Target Operating Model in alignment with broader people strategy and transformation goals.
Projects : Identify opportunities to drive consistency, improve processes, and add value across HR by gathering input from key stakeholders and proposing practical solutions.
Projects : Build strong relationships with HR leaders and stakeholders to support the adoption of new HR programmes and initiatives.
Projects : Develop and deliver effective communications to provide clear updates on project progress, outcomes, and next steps.
Projects : Contribute to key projects focused on enhancing organisational effectiveness and improving core HR processes.
Employee Relations : Lead on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy meetings.
Employee Relations : Support the HR Business Partner on complex cases, restructures, consultations, and redundancy processes - conducting impact assessments and preparing supporting documentation.
Employee Relations : Share expertise across the HR team by providing guidance to HR Advisors and Coordinators.
Employee Relations : Act as a mentor to HR Coordinators, supporting their professional development and capability growth.
General : Liaise with the Resourcing team to support recruitment approval processes.
General : Monitor HR-related spend against budget to ensure alignment with financial controls.
General : Maintain and update organisational charts to reflect structural changes accurately.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years'' experience in a HR Advisory role, ideally within a professional services environment.
Strong understanding of current Employment Law, particularly regarding employee relations issues.
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Basic understanding of HR strategy and transformation, with a focus on driving adoption of change initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels.
Demonstrates sound judgment, commercial awareness, and the confidence to propose pragmatic HR solutions or escalate when necessary.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong prioritisation and multitasking skills.
Well-organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into practical action.
Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with HR systems and data to support decision-making.
Evidence of strong project management skills.
High level of attention to detail, with integrity and discretion essential to inspire confidence and trust.
Commercially astute and solutions-focused, with an understanding of business risks and drivers.
