Senior Health and Safety Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Manager to lead the health and safety function across rail projects, site locations and offices. The role will provide strategic leadership, technical advice and practical support, helping to embed a culture centred on safe working, sustainability and wellbeing.Key Responsibilities:Lead the rollout and implementation of health and safety elements within the Safe, Sustainable and Wellbeing strategy across projectsProvide day-to-day health and safety leadership, advice and support to project teams, offices, employees and contractorsEnsure health and safety policies, procedures and management system processes reflect current legislation and are effectively implementedReview, update and produce health and safety documentation for the business management systemCarry out site safety inspections, audits and reviews of corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and auditsEnsure accidents, incidents and near misses are accurately reported, investigated and communicated in line with company proceduresSupport continuous improvement by sharing lessons learnt and contributing to internal and external audit programmesDeliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, training and coaching for employees, contractors and project stakeholdersProvide technical assistance to Project Managers and the Head of Operational Health and SafetyAttend business and project meetings, providing clear updates on health, safety and environmental mattersLine ..... full job details .....
