Senior Flood Risk Consultant/Engineer in Rochdale)

OverviewMy client, a diverse, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the historic and culturally rich town of Rochdale.

Essential Criteria

A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology, or other relevant qualification

Extensive experience in a design-based role, especially in a consultancy setting

Experience producing flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)

Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S38, S278, etc.)

Competent in the use of Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and other similar software packages

A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

Desirable

Experience of team or project leadership

Strong technical skills and an analytical mindset

Responsibilities

Contribute to an array of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies

Work with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard within timeframes and budget

Undertake relevant technical analysis using software packages

Prepare and issue accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models

Liaise with public and private stakeholders

Contribute to and carry out site meetings and inspections

Develop, maintain, and manage client and stakeholder relations

Contribute to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
