Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

Overview

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Environmental Engineering and Hydrology, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Manchester. It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.Responsibilities

Join a team of experienced Engineers to work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage, Hydrology and Infrastructure Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities.Be involved in residential, commercial, retail and renewable energy projects across the UK.Support to complete the following:Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3Surface Water Management PlansSurface Water and Foul Drainage StrategiesDetailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and MicrodrainageDrainage Area PlanningFlood Risk MappingHydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and TuflowQualifications

BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology or an equivalent relevant disciplineExperience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104/S106 using MicrodrainageStrong academic background and experience with Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow (beneficial)Ability to reside locally and work in ManchesterBenefits / Additional Info
