An established and growing infrastructure delivery business is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the successful delivery of utility and civil engineering projects across the Northern Home Counties and into the Midlands.

The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects, working alongside experienced operational and commercial teams.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing engineering activities across multiple utility projects
  • Supporting project delivery teams with technical guidance and site coordination
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Assisting with programme management, reporting, and progress tracking
  • Conducting site inspections and resolving engineering issues as they arise
  • Supporting continuous improvement and best practice across projects

Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 2 years'' experience within the utilities or infrastructure sector
  • Strong understanding of utility project delivery and site operations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several live projects
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Willingness to travel across the Northern Home Counties and Midlands region

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working on water, gas, power, telecoms, or multi-utility projects
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and utility standards
  • SMSTS, CSCS, or other relevant site certifications
  • Experience working with principal contractors or utility providers
