Senior Engineering Draughtsperson / Mechanical Design DraughtspersonLocation: Stevenage, Hertfordshire (minimum 2 days/week onsite, remainder remote; more onsite initially to get up to speed) Duration: 6 months Rate: 43- 45 per hour (Umbrella) IR35: Inside IR35 Clearance: SC clearance required to start (UKEO)Overview A leading organisation within the Defence and Security sector is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Draughtsperson to support the development of 2D and 3D mechanical definitions for complex products. You''ll work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical documentation and drawing packs.Responsibilities:Must have a strong background in the ability to create 2D and 3D definitions.In this role, you will develop the 2D and 3D definitions working with the engineer, quality assessing the 3D models you receive for a variety of defence products.Appointments will be made at an appropriate level based on skills and experience. Please bring examples of 2D draughting work to show in the interviewSkillset/experience required:Ideally Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.Excellent knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems and similar standards and GD and TAbility to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality robust 2D/3D definitions and must have a ..... full job details .....
