We are recruiting for a Senior Communication Engineer on contract to be based in Birmingham 2 days per week and 3 remotely.The opportunity will require candidates to be client-facing as well as being involved in the day-to-day design and management of projects. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications engineer to further develop their career within a leading building design consultancy. This role will allow development of existing technical skills as well as providing potential to expand digital and project management skills. Requirements: Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification in a Communications, Electronic Engineering, or ICT related discipline. Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or be working towards Chartership. Experience working on projects across a number of our focus markets (Nuclear, Defence, Infrastructure, Government, and Transportation Experience of designing building systems including. Building Management Systems (BMS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Experience of designing Public Address Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems Experience of designing structured cabling systems, including copper and fibre optic systems and the associated physical network infrastructure. Good understanding of IP data networking, systems design, and the associated active and passive network infrastructure. Some understanding of AV systems design.
