We are looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Communications Engineer looking to develop their career in a positive environment to work for a leading Engineering organisation. This role will be based in their Birmingham offices 2 days per week and remote for 3 on contract. This role will allow development of existing technical skills as well as providing potential to expand digital and project management skills. Requirements: Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification in a Communications, Electronic Engineering, or ICT related discipline. Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or be working towards Chartership. Experience working on projects across a number of our focus markets (Nuclear, Defence, Infrastructure, Government, and Transportation Experience of designing building systems including. Building Management Systems (BMS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Experience of designing Public Address Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems Experience of designing structured cabling systems, including copper and fibre optic systems and the associated physical network infrastructure. Good understanding of IP data networking, systems design, and the associated active and passive network infrastructure. Some understanding of AV systems design.
