Hours: 2 Days On / 4 Days Off Rota | Including 6 Sleep-ins per Month
Salary: -35,000 per annum
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Senior Children''s Support Worker to join a residential children''s home in Coventry. As a Senior Children''s Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, and personal development. You will lead by example, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and positive home environment where young people can thrive.
What will you be doing?
- Providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Leading shifts and supporting the effective day-to-day running of the home.
- Building positive relationships with young people and acting as a trusted role model.
- Supporting children to achieve their personal, educational, and social goals.
- Completing care plans, daily records, and incident reports accurately.
- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children is always the highest priority.
- Working closely with families, social workers, schools, and other professionals.
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.
- Previous experience working within a children''s residential care setting.
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker or a strong Support Worker ready to step up.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins.
- Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
