PK Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Support / Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist secondary resource provision. This setting supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.

This is a hands-on, active role requiring individuals who are calm, adaptable, and confident in building positive relationships with pupils. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students’ development, engagement, and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Manage behaviour in a calm, professional manner
• Encourage participation in learning and daily activities
• Work closely with teaching staff and follow structured guidance
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs

About You:
We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with children or young people, or relevant transferable experience (e.g. youth work, support work, residential care, sports coaching)
• Are open to feedback and committed to professional development
• Present themselves professionally and communicate effectively
• Are flexible, reliable, and seeking long-term work
• Can remain calm and resilient when supporting pupils with complex behaviour
