Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Hackney
Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term

GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and confident SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive Special School in Hackney. The setting supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as additional learning difficulties. You’ll work closely with students who require extra emotional support and behaviour management strategies.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in SEMH/MLD/ASC environments is preferable

• Positive, patient and proactive attitude

• Able to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively

• Passionate about helping students develop both academically and emotionally
