SEMH Teaching Assistant – Kensington
Salary: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term
GSL Education is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Kensington. The role will focus on supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as pupils with Autism (ASC) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Key Responsibilities:Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH and ASC.
Assist classroom teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning opportunities.
Support students in building social and emotional skills, resilience, and independence.
Help implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive outcomes.
Previous experience working with pupils who have SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
