Job Description:


  • Provideandnbsp;1:1 and small group supportandnbsp;for pupils withandnbsp;SEMH needs, including those withandnbsp;challenging behaviour,andnbsp;anxiety, orandnbsp;trauma-related difficulties
  • Support pupils in developingandnbsp;emotional regulation,andnbsp;social skills, andandnbsp;positive coping strategies
  • Useandnbsp;therapeutic techniques,andnbsp;visual aids, andandnbsp;structured routinesandnbsp;to promote engagement and stability
  • Collaborate withandnbsp;teachers,andnbsp;pastoral staff, andandnbsp;external professionalsandnbsp;to implementandnbsp;individual behaviour and support plans (IBSPs)
  • Create aandnbsp;safe,andnbsp;calm, andandnbsp;supportive environmentandnbsp;that encouragesandnbsp;trust,andnbsp;confidence, andandnbsp;growth

The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Have experience working with children or young people withandnbsp;SEMH,andnbsp;challenging behaviour, orandnbsp;mental health needsandnbsp;(in school or care settings)
  • Beandnbsp;empathetic,andnbsp;adaptable, andandnbsp;committedandnbsp;to inclusive education
  • Demonstrate strongandnbsp;teamwork,andnbsp;communication, andandnbsp;de-escalation skills
  • Be confident usingandnbsp;emotion coaching,andnbsp;restorative approaches, andandnbsp;positive behaviour strategies
  • Be open toandnbsp;ongoing training, includingandnbsp;safeguarding,andnbsp;mental health awareness, andandnbsp;trauma-informed practice
