We are currently recruiting experienced School Caretakers for a variety of Primary, Secondary, and SEND schools across Shropshire. These positions suit practical, dependable individuals who are confident overseeing the day-to-day running, maintenance, and security of school premises.This role requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and manage site responsibilities effectively from the outset.Key Responsibilities:Opening and locking school sites, ensuring full site security at all timesCarrying out general maintenance, repairs, and basic building upkeepEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulations across the premisesConducting routine inspections and reporting any faults or hazardsSupervising contractors and ensuring work is completed safelyMaintaining outdoor areas including grounds, pathways, and entrancesSupporting with room moves, deliveries, and school eventsMonitoring and managing site systems such as heating, lighting, and alarmsRequirements:Previous experience working as a School Caretaker or Site Supervisor is essentialGood working knowledge of health and safety within a school environmentAbility to carry out maintenance tasks independently and efficientlyStrong time management and organisational skillsReliable, proactive, and professional approachImportant Information:No training will be provided - candidates must be experienced and ready to start immediatelyAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferredCandidates without an ..... full job details .....
