The Role
As a Resident Liaison Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our retrofit projects. You’ll be the trusted point of contact between residents and the Retrofit Team—ensuring that every voice is heard, concerns are addressed, and access to homes is smoothly coordinated.

Job title: Retrofit Resident Liaison Officer
Location: Hackney, E5 8QP
Working Times: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Salary: £30,000-35,000k per annum, dependant on experience
Equipment provided: Laptop, Uniform, Company Van, Fuel Card
Key Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and local communities through proactive engagement.
- Deliver clear, accessible communication about energy-efficient improvements and what to expect.
- Respond to enquiries and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Coordinate property access so retrofit works can be carried out smoothly and efficiently.
- Log and manage any complaints or access issues—resolving them promptly or escalating when needed.
- Keep meticulous records of interactions and project progress across our systems and trackers.
- Support the Retrofit Team with administrative tasks and act as a liaison at resident and stakeholder meetings.
Experience
- Previous experience in resident liaison, customer service, or social housing (essential).
- Familiarity with property maintenance systems such as MRi or Repairs Hub (desirable).

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills—you’re a natural people person.
- Highly organised with strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Calm, compassionate, and professional when managing sensitive or complex situations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Resilient, with good negotiating skills and a can-do attitude.
Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths (Pass grade)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
