Clarence Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity to encourage critical thinking, cultural understanding, and respectful discussion among students.

As an RE Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Encourage students to explore a range of religious, ethical, and philosophical topics.
• Promote discussion, debate, and independent thinking.
• Develop lesson plans that inspire curiosity and understanding.
• Track student achievement and provide meaningful feedback.
• Support whole-school values and inclusion initiatives.
• Participate in departmental and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience of teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting.
• Sound knowledge of world religions, ethics and philosophy.
• Excellent communication skills and effective classroom management.
• A genuine enthusiasm for fostering respectful discussion and critical thinking.
• A strong commitment to improving student achievement.
• An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
