We are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed Teacher of Business Studies to join a well-established secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative educator to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and decision-makers.

The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students'' understanding of business operations, enterprise, finance, and the wider economic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate learners.
• Support students in developing commercial awareness and a strong understanding of contemporary business practices.
• Plan and prepare lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and intervention strategies.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes achievement and participation.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of departmental resources.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, professionalism, and academic expectations.
• Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving their academic goals.
• Take an active role in enrichment activities, enterprise projects, and wider school initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders where appropriate.
• Participate fully in departmental meetings, training opportunities, and school events.

Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related subject area.
• Previous experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school environment.
• The ability to teach GCSE Business Studies, with A-Level teaching experience being advantageous.
• Strong subject expertise and a genuine enthusiasm for business education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience using assessment data to track performance and improve outcomes.
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting student success.
• A collaborative approach to working within a department and wider school community.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
