Relationship Director - Private Equity

Relationship Director - Private Equity at Barclays. The role focuses on growing a deep understanding and relationship with a portfolio of clients, developing and sustaining revenue opportunities, leading cross-discipline deal teams, increasing return on tangible equity, improving capital efficiency through restructuring of existing loans and the provision of new lending, developing the portfolio through increasing wallet share and reducing cost-to-serve through banking efficiencies including digital platforms, and providing excellent customer service and deep client relationships. The role is based in London.Responsibilities
Manage relationships, coverage or origination in the Private Equity sector to grow client value and revenue.Engage in Financing/Lending, Credit, Trade Finance, Transaction Banking and FX Risk Management; apply knowledge of Credit Risk and Credit Risk Analysis.Work with UK and European bank markets or sector experience in other international markets to support client needs.Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients, acting as the bridge between the bank\''s offerings and clients\'' needs for mutual benefit and long-term success.Identify client financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance; analyze data from sources including investment portfolios and cash flow to identify trends and opportunities for service enhancement.Research client industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.Design customised solutions from the bank\''s portfolio to address client objectives; communicate value propositions and negotiate terms that benefit both client and bank.Provide guidance on financial decisions, including investment advice, risk management and wealth management support; keep clients informed on market trends.Assess financial, legal, and operational risks; implement measures to minimise potential losses; document client interactions, transactions and agreements for transparency and auditability.Monitor client satisfaction, revenue and relevant metrics to evaluate relation- ship management effectiveness.Qualifications and Skills
Experience in Relationship Management, Coverage or Origination in the Private Equity sector.Experience in Financing/Lending, Credit, Trade Finance, Transaction Banking and FX Risk Management.Experience in Credit Risk and Credit Risk Analysis.Experience in UK and European Bank Market, or sector experience in other international markets.Desirable Skills
Experience in Private Equity sectors.Experience putting in place Subscription Lines for clients and winning operational fund banking mandates.Ability to work and collaborate in cross-jurisdiction and cross-product deal teams.Management or mentoring experience of junior talent and colleagues.Leadership and Seniority
