Are you an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in auditing and quality management systems?
We are currently working with a leading Aerospace & Defence-focused business who are looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of their quality function and ensure continued compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9120B standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to join an established business where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across the organisation.
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing and continually improving the company''s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and industry requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9120B.
- Planning, conducting and supporting internal and external audits.
- Acting as a key point of contact during customer and third-party audits.
- Managing non-conformances, corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across quality processes.
- Ensuring quality procedures, processes and documentation remain compliant and up to date.
- Monitoring quality performance through KPIs and reporting findings to senior management.
- Working closely with production, engineering and other departments to drive quality improvements.
- Supporting supplier quality and supplier audits where required.
- Investigating quality issues and implementing effective root-cause analysis.
- Ensuring customer requirements and expectations are consistently met.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues on quality standards and procedures.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working in a Quality Manager / Quality Lead position.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Experience working to AS9120B within an Aerospace & Defence environment.
- Proven experience conducting and managing internal and external audits.
- Experience managing non-conformances, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The confidence to work with customers, suppliers, auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ideally, a recognised Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor qualification.
