Quality Engineer

We''re delighted to be supporting a specialist manufacturing business in Sheffield in the appointment of a Quality Engineer to join its established Quality function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality professional to take a hands-on role within a safety-critical manufacturing environment, working across Quality Assurance and Quality Control to ensure products, processes and documentation meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you''ll work closely with Engineering, Production, Technical, Commercial, Supply Chain and Project Management teams, as well as customers and third-party inspection bodies. As Quality Engineer, you''ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company''s Integrated Management System, supporting compliance with ISO 9001 and developing knowledge of industry-specific standards. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities throughout design, manufacture, testing and product release. Investigating internal and external non-conformances, customer complaints and returns, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. Leading and supporting 8D, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities. Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to contain and resolve quality issues.
