Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join its dynamic team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a quality-focused professional to contribute significantly to maintaining product standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of operational excellence across the manufacturing operations.

The Role:

As a Quality Engineer, you will take on a pivotal role in supporting quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating quality concerns and leading root cause analysis activities.
  • Spearheading corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to mitigate quality issues.
  • Monitoring quality performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conducting internal audits of processes and products.
  • Collaborating with customers and suppliers on quality activities.
  • Reviewing and enhancing manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce non-conformances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of quality documentation, procedures, and control plans.
  • Supporting first-off inspections, process validations, and quality checks.
  • Working closely with production teams to resolve quality-related challenges.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant quality standards and company procedures.

About You:

To thrive in this role, candidates should ideally possess:

  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Specialist, or in a Manufacturing Quality role.
  • A background in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies, such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and auditing processes.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and continuous improvement techniques.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Friday: Half-day Friday
