The Role:

We are seeking a-Property Surveyor-to support the delivery of major works, planned maintenance, cyclical programmes, and asset investment initiatives across a varied residential property portfolio. Working closely with asset management and property teams, you will provide technical expertise, undertake inspections and surveys, and ensure investment programmes deliver excellent resident outcomes and value for money.

This role combines stock condition surveying, contract management, building safety compliance, and project delivery, making it an excellent opportunity for a surveying professional looking to contribute to the long-term sustainability and performance of housing assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake stock condition surveys and property inspections, maintaining accurate asset management information.
  • Support the delivery of major works, planned maintenance and cyclical investment programmes.
  • Prepare specifications, tender documentation and works schedules for investment projects.
  • Manage contractors, consultants and Employer''s Agents to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor building safety compliance and ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met.
  • Carry out HHSRS inspections and provide recommendations for remedial works.
  • Support the development of long-term asset investment plans and maintenance programmes.
  • Maintain asset management and compliance systems, ensuring records remain up to date and accurate.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, residents and stakeholders.

What We''re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Property Surveyor role within residential property, housing, or asset management.
  • Strong knowledge of major works, cyclical maintenance, building safety and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards and wider housing regulations.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants and investment programmes.
  • Strong project management, budget management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Qualifications Required:

  • Recognised professional qualification in Building Construction, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Membership of CIOB or RICS desirable.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
