Project Quantity Surveyor

A growing London property consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their cost management team. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will work across a varied portfolio of high-quality property and development projects throughout London.

The Project Quantity Surveyor will manage commissions from early cost planning and procurement through to construction and final account. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, the Project Quantity Surveyor will provide practical commercial advice while maintaining strong control over project costs.

This opportunity would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor with UK consultancy experience who is ready for greater responsibility. The Project Quantity Surveyor will gain strong client exposure, manage their own workload and continue developing towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing feasibility estimates, cost plans and project budgets

• Producing tender documentation and managing procurement exercises

• Reviewing contractor submissions and preparing tender reports

• Managing valuations, variations and change control

• Preparing and negotiating final accounts

• Producing regular cost reports for clients

• Attending client, design team and site meetings

• Providing commercial and contractual advice throughout project delivery

Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

• Previous UK consultancy or PQS experience

• Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract cost management

• Good understanding of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes

• MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership

• Confident client-facing communication and reporting skills

• Ability to manage projects with increasing independence

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

In Return:

• -50,000 - -60,000 per annum

• London-based position
