Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a talented and driven Procurement Category Manager to take ownership of a key global category and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering its strategy.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment where your expertise in supplier management, category strategy, and commercial negotiations will directly impact business performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a global category, working closely with senior leadership, operations, and other global teams to develop, implement, and continuously improve the category strategy. The position involves end-to-end supplier management, from sourcing decisions and contract negotiations to performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and refining the global category strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
- Leading supplier evaluations, directing supplier strategy, and negotiating complex, high-value contracts.
- Managing supplier performance through robust KPIs, supplier review processes, and improvement plans.
- Supporting NPD projects to ensure timely and cost-effective launches.
- Identifying and delivering cost reduction initiatives while safeguarding quality and supply continuity.
- Driving cross-functional collaboration to optimise supplier relationships and manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations and standards.
We are looking for a commercially astute and proactive procurement professional with:
- 5+ years of procurement experience within manufacturing.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience working in a complex structure and collaborating across multiple business functions.
- £45,000 - £55,000 and benefits package DOE.
