Primary SEND Teaching Assistant - Behaviour & SEMH Support
Aspire People are seeking a resilient and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs within a primary school setting. This role is ideal for someone who can build strong relationships and support pupils both academically and emotionally.
**The Role:**
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs within the classroom and during structured activities
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Supporting small group interventions and targeted learning activities
* Helping pupils re-engage with learning and build confidence
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff to implement behaviour support plans
* Supporting pupils during transitions and less structured parts of the school day
**The Ideal Candidate:**
* Experience working with children with behavioural or SEMH needs
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
* Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
