PMO Analyst
to support the effective operation of the
Global Change Programme Office . This role is essential in maintaining core administrative processes, coordinating documentation and reporting, and ensuring the smooth execution of governance activities across a portfolio of strategic initiatives. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in project or programme management within a high-impact, fast-paced environment.As PMO Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Programme Office team by maintaining the central repository of documents, ensuring version control, and preparing materials for governance meetings. You will coordinate meeting logistics, manage agendas and calendar invites, take accurate minutes, and track follow-up actions to closure. You will assist in monthly status reporting by collating inputs, validating completeness, and supporting the preparation of board packs and ad-hoc requests. You will help monitor report submissions across the programme and escalate delays where necessary. In addition, you will support the maintenance and distribution of PMO templates, provide basic guidance to delivery teams, and administer tools and trackers such as SharePoint and Excel logs. You will also provide day-to-day administrative support to the Programme Office team, onboard new team members, and act as the first point of contact for general PMO enquiries.This role sits within the Global Change Programme, which comprises 30–40 initiatives aimed at transforming the British Council’s financial position by 2030. Minimum / EssentialPrior experience in an administrative or project support role, preferably in a PMO or project environment.Experience coordinating meetings and maintaining shared documentation.Familiarity with project or programme environments and ways of working.DesirableExperience in regulated or public sector environments.Exposure to project management methodologies or tools (e.g. RAID, status reports).Role Specific Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).Experience using SharePoint or other document management systems.Comfortable working with templates, trackers, and structured data inputs.Important Information
