The successful candidate must be able to perform all standard Practice Nurse duties.Overall Purpose of the Role:The practice nurse is responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care to the entire practice population. The role focuses on evidence-based management of long-term conditions and preventative nursing interventions. The post holder will collaborate with the general practice team and report to the locality lead nurse.Experience:Previous primary care experience and knowledge of general practice operationsClinical skills such as cervical cytology, immunisations, ear care, minor surgeryExperience managing chronic disease clinicsChange management skills and ability to support lifestyle modificationsThis is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with consideration for part-time hours for the right candidate.
