Operations Manager

Our Client:
Our client is a trusted specialist in civil engineering, delivering high-quality projects to the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

The Role:

The Operations Manager will lead their Civil Engineering division. This is a senior role with responsibility for ensuring the smooth delivery of complex projects, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and driving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations for the Civil Engineering and Structural Steelwork Division.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple projects to time, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage and mentor site teams, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to support ongoing collaboration.
• Identify new business opportunities within the sector and contribute to the company''s business development strategy.
• Monitor project performance, prepare commercial reports, and deliver operational performance reporting to senior management.
• Ensure accurate resource planning, cost tracking, and budget control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.

About You:

• Proven track record in managing structural and civil engineering projects, ideally within high-security or regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
• Experience in business development and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Solid understanding of commercial reporting and operational performance monitoring.
• Skilled in project planning, scheduling, and financial control.
• Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach.
